Sewing room!

I go in spurts with sewing. I like to have a good project to work on and then I usually have a big break. There are always some little odds and ends that I need to sew but I really hate getting my sewing machine out, setting it all up on the kitchen table for just a few minutes of sewing only to put it all away so that Kasen won't get at it and so that we can have dinner on the table.

It's a pain.

Well we have this spare room downstairs thats like to be a dumping place for all sorts of things and it not practical at all and so disorganized and I feel like the extra room is just going to waste. So for a while now I have wanted to get a table in there to have my sewing machine set up always so I can be in and out of there and just shut the door behind me. I know that I would sew a lot more and that I would teach the girls more. I had my eye on this cute stensiled table and distressed chair on the yard sale page but since the girl wouldn't come down in price I thought I should just get a folding table from Walmart since it would be much cheaper. Well I asked Tj to pick it up for me when he was at Walmart one night but instead he came home with the one I really wanted! Apparently Tj has facebook on his phone and likes to check in once in awhile. He knew I wanted that table from the conversations I had been having with the girl selling it. 

I walked into the downstairs room and it was all set up for me.

I was so excited because its just perfect and to celebrate I took the girls to Hobby Lobby this morning to let them pick out fabric so I could help them make their own aprons. They turned out super cute and were so easy to make (I just traced an apron I already had). The girls liked helping and I am so in love with the new sewing room!

I will be sewing so much more now. TJ even said we should set up the Cameo machine on another table and he would teach me how to use it and then I would have my complete craft room. That would be cool since there are so many things I would love to make with the Cameo but since I don't know how and since TJ has his own stuff to do and because its a hasel to drag the machine out all the time I never do.
