I'm pretty sure ice blocking is a Mormon thing. I only did it once growing up mainly because the one park that had all the hills was kinda sketchy and falling on a drug needle was a real possibility. I did it a few times in college and now I take my kids. They think its awesome and its good cheap fun.
Plus I love all the pictures I get from it.
