TENNESSEE

I pretty much have an amazing dad! He bought all us girls plane tickets to spend the week in Tennessee with him at the trade show. I'm the only kid in the family who has never gone to one of his shows and worked. It was so fun! A little stressful since their booth is so busy with buyers and I'm running around answering questions, trying to add up orders (so not my thing). I really love seeing my dad in his element living his dream. He is so passionate about our culture and his jewelry. growing up he would often sit me down and show me turquoise rocks (before they were cut open) just in awe of how beautiful they were. SO beautiful that he wouldn't cut open some since in the raw they were perfect. He keeps a stash of jewelry at home that he says is too beautiful to sell. My mom says he could retire with just the jewelry he saves at home. My dad is such a business man and has such great work ethic and works so hard. He took one silver smith into his garage 40 years ago and had him cut silver and now he sells his jewelry world wide. I could go into multiple stores in Park City and find my dads jewelry. He services all of the stores at the grand canyon. He has buyers from all over the world. He has such an eye for beauty. He has trade shows begging for him to come. This trade show offered him this amazing cabin if he would come. So he took advantage and flew the family out to have some much needed quality time together. Despite Deidra having shingles, Jodi getting served custody papers, Cody being bruised and bashed, and all of our differences we laughed and had so much fun! Its not often that we can get together with no spouses and kids and just hang out as a family. My dad even paid us all (a large sum) for working the show one day and so we all shopped like crazy one day. We rode the chair lift to see the gorgeous views, we ate out, went to a comedy show, talked and laughed, hiked, played ping pong and raced each other up the crazy hills everyday. Tennessee is gorgeous and it was the perfect time of year to go. It was so great to get out and run the trails covered in leaves.
I want to take my family there so bad!
