Camping at San Clemente is always so much fun and our new favorite thing we look forward to each year (besides Bear Lake). TJ didn't have enough time off work but luckily his main office is in San Clemente so he was able to go with us and camp and drop us off at the beach in the mornings and then he would go to work for half the day and then come meet up with us late afternoon and the rest of the night.

Cousins on the Lee side during the Lee family reunion at a baptism for one of the Haymore boys.
We celebrated 13 years this year and so we took our selves kayaking down the Provo river. I thought it would be a breeze but half way down the river you have to get out and go around this bridge and then get back in. Well the current is more swift than you think and I couldn't get out fast enough and I fell under and the kayak was floating away and I could barely drag it back up stream to the unloading place. Thank goodness for TJ. There was also a ton of tubers so that made it hard to steer around them down the river. I love this guy and for going along with my crazy ideas and for making life fun. He is my partner in crime and he has always made me feel safe and at home.
This year I finally got to run the Nebo Half. I have been wanting to run this race for awhile because it is so pretty and a fast downhill race. I was hoping to beat my time and I did by 1 min so I was a little bummed but I can't be too mad about progress. My fastest half is 1:42. One day I really hope to see the 1:30's.

We took a little trifecta camping trip to Moab. The Wakefields couldn't come but it was really fun with Kenny and the Clarkes. The Clarkes took down their climbing gear and taught us all how to rock climb. The kids all did amazing and I was so impressed with their skills!! There was a time when Lexi was stuck and trying to figure out how to keep climbing without having to come down and she told me she just kept saying "I can do this, I can do this!" to herself over and over. She made it thru the sticky part and did it. For me it was so out of my comfort zone! I had never done it before and I only went up a little ways before I was ready to come down. The kids can't stop talking about climbing and wanting to do more of it. However we can't always just bum off the clarkes to come take us. So TJ and I are trying to learn how so we can be able to do it. The Clarkes took just TJ and I to the Quarry the other day and I was kinda dreading it since its just not really my thing. However I surprised myself and actually had a lot of fun and would love to go back. And now I am confident I could take any of the girls and belay them myself so they could climb. Too bad they can't do that for me. The whole trip was so fun, we climbed, shopped, played at the sand hill, went on hikes and laughed a lot.
