Jade was baptized this past Saturday. I am so impressed and amazed with her testimony! Ever since I can remember, Jade has been going up in Sacrament meeting and bearing her testimony all by herself. And its not just a rehearsed spill like all the other kids. Its guenuine, heartfelt, inspiring and way beyond her years. She really grasps the gospel, loves it and leans on it everyday. She has been through a lot but she knows her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are right there by her side. She wanted so badly to read the whole Book of Mormon by herself before she got baptized. She didn't quite make it but she never forgets to read her 3 pages everyday trying to get there. She even takes her little BOM to school and will read it during reading time in class and at recess. She is filled with the Spirit and is so close to home.
She is such an example to me and my girls.
I am on track to finish the BOM before Christmas and Tallie just told me last night that she wants to finish the BOM herself before her birthday.
My parents and Cody came for the baptism and while they were here we went out to eat, went to see Santa at Riverwoods (only not one of my kids wanted to see him), we took a free horse and carriage ride (which has been on my list to do for years!). We watched Christmas movies and Cody helped me rake, mow and winterize my yard for like 3 hours on Saturday while TJ put up Christmas lights. It was so good to spend time with him and for him to feel needed and to acomplish something. It is so good to have him back and to laugh with the Cody from so long ago! He even went to church on Sunday, went to all three hours (which hasn't happened since he was like 10), went to Priesthood by himself, and even fasted!!! I am so happy for what his future holds. I hope he continues down this path! So much family time has been so good for him. First it was Tenneesse, then Thanksgiving, then Utah.
