New Years Eve

Our usual tradition of going to the hole in the wall Chinese resturante was a little altered this year. TJ suggested because of Kasen's "busy" stage we should do take out and bring the food home for a picnic. It made for a peaceful night but I still want to continue going out in the future though. We ate, read fortunes then played hide and seek and Apples to Apples. We started a new tradition this year with a Floating Lantern! We made a family goal for the year to love each other and be kind. We then let go of our lantern and watched it fly. As we were watching it disappear, Lexi yells up into the sky "I love my family!" It was so sweet and a somewhat magical way to say good bye to such a great year. We then drank our Martinellies out of fancy plastic cups and put the kids to bed.
Tj and I of course went to bed around 11 and ended up talking into the new year.
I love that man and my sweet kids!
