Chloe had her Christmas Program at school this month and I really wasn't sure if she would go through with it or not. But much to my surprise she was excited and practiced her part everyday. I was so proud, especially to hear her say her part in Spanish! I still don't know what it was that she said but it sure did sound good! She is doing so well at school and has overcome some major challenges. She now will walk into school with just Tallie which is HUGE! Makes my life so much easier not having to truck through the snow with a carseat and 3 year old just to walk a few steps into the school. Once the warmer weather hits I will go back to walking because I really do love taking those girls to school. Chloe has many friends at school and as soon as she gets to class I swear there are a handful of boys who greet her. It is so cute.
This year not only does our "Elf" continue to put treats and trinkets into the girls shoes at night if they have been good that day but he has shown up at our house for the whole month of December to watch us as we play. He has been named "Dum Dum" and it has been fun waking up in the mornings to see what it is he has been up to at nights while we sleep. Such a silly elf. We also once again went to our annual gingerbread decorating party over at the Wilkins. It was nice to be able to put kasen to sleep at home and take the monitor over so he didn't have to be around so many kids and germs.
All four kiddos at the Christmas tree lot! Wow! I really can't believe that I have four of them. I LOVE IT! We picked out a really good tree this year. We usually always go for the really fat full ones but this year we aimed for more trim and not so bushy and it really fit the room better. Hopefully next year we will have 2 trees, one for the NEW basement (if it ever gets finished) and the other for upstairs.
Decorating cookies with friends, Elena and Callie. I really wonder why we even do this because really the kids don't even like eating the cookies. I think they are delicious but Tallie says they are too sweet and does not like frosting on cookies. But it's good to give them away.
One of our favorite things to do is to watch the Nativity and then to act it out. Everyone always fights over who gets to be Mary and stuff their shirts with blankets and ride on the donkey AKA dad. But they all did agree on who got to be the baby Jesus this year...Kasen.
While yard sale shopping this summer I came across this raft that is like a $500 one and I scored it for $75. It had only been used twice and I just thought it would be so fun to take camping and perhaps fish off of. I'm really hoping that TJ thought it was as cool as I did since I did give it to him for Christmas.
