So we got through our first week of TJ being gone for training. And to be honest the week went by quickly and was very pleasant. I kept myself busy helping my friend Becky out by painting her nursery and watching kids. It also helps that I started this 15 day fitness challenge because now I have set meals to plan (most are new that I'm learning to cook) and new workouts each day (since I can't run in the mornings). Sometimes when TJ goes out of town I loose control and just eat and get sad and feel like crap so its good to be on a strict routine that otherwise would be hard to do if TJ were around. On Friday night I went solo with the kids to a neighbors fall party which was so fun. I almost didn't go since it would just be me but my kids pushed me to do it and I am so glad they did. Tons of food, which I didn't eat, GO ME! a pinata and outdoor halloween movie for the kids, a fire and hanging out for the adults. I am so blessed to have such great neighbors and to live in this neighborhood. TJ got home around midnight on Friday night. On Saturday we went to Jaker's pumpkin patch and for the first time didn't have to buy any pumpkins since we grew SIXTEEN of them at home! We then went and hiked to Timp falls. That was the best part of the day. The kids complained and whined about going but we drug them anyways. They had so much fun collecting all the different colors of leaves trying to see who could get the most vibrant or unique ones. The weather was great and now the kids want to do more fall hikes. We had pizza for dinner and played Apples to Apples and Spoons and ended the night with a massive pillow fight. It really was such a great day. Sunday morning TJ had to leave for California about the same time we left for church. A very short weekend with dad but one of the best.
