So a little over a month ago my niece Jade Langholf got glasses. Apparently she was legally blind in one eye. Well my girls thought they were so cute and everyday Tallie has been asking if she could get glasses. Of course we just think she wants them because they were cute or whatever. I went through a phase like that right about her age. Well she would not drop the subject and so finally TJ started testing her and asking her to read stuff that was far away. She actually couldn't. Chloe could. Tallie put on TJ's glasses and all of a sudden she could read everything that before she couldn't. So of course I make the appointment and low and behold she really did need glasses!
She was so super excited and loved picking out the frames all on her own and she has had no problem adjusting or getting used to them. For me either. I feel like she has always worn them. I really like her in glasses. I'm sure there will come a day when she won't think they are so cool and thank goodness there are those tiny little things called contacts.
I wish though that she didn't have to get them at such a young age.
