Sometimes I feel like Lexi and I get in these ruts.

We take the kids to school and then we come home and she wants to watch TV and I let her because I need to shower and get ready and do some stuff around the house.

Before I know it she has spent the morning alone glued to the TV and I am a bad mom.

So since the weather had been so cold I decided we needed to make something pumpkiny.

We put on our aprons and I let lexi do all the mixing and adding and making a mess.

We made pumpkin cookies from pumpkins from the garden from a couple of summers ago. I have to admit that I kinda like the canned pumpkin better. Here I spend all this time growing pumpkins and baking them and pureeing them and freezing them to make all of our fall/Christmas treats but I find that you don't always get a good pumpkin and some can taste pretty bland. Not a whole lot of pumpkin flavor going on. 

So maybe its a good thing our pumpkins didn't grow this year...

Anyways I need to be better at playing and turning of the dumb TV.
