I swear this day just snuck up on me. WHERE has the time gone!?
My baby girl is now the BIG girl who is now accountable for her actions!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sweet Tallie. She is everything I could have ever wanted in a daughter.
She is sweet and oh so helpful, making my load easier. She is the best big sister always wanting to mother and take care of her siblings. She is so great with Kasen. Always playing with him, making him laugh, holding him, dressing him, feeding him, you name it she does it. She is a good example to Chloe and a great protector of her at school. Making sure her day is going ok and waving to her at recess and eating lunch with her at her table. She is a great teacher to Lexi. Playing school with her and teaching her things that she is learning herself. She has become very independent and branching out with new friends and trying new things. She is very eager to learn at school and has such a desire to learn new things. She loves to prepare Family Home Evening lessons and I am always surprised at just how much she knows and understands about the Gospel. She is the first to raise her hand to pray and never lets us forget to read our scriptures at night. She loves to play with friends playing house or school or just making a mess with Elena. She is doing great playing the piano and is learning to be more aggressive when she plays soccer. She has her occasional melt downs and tantrums and whiney days but mostly those come when she is running low on sleep. For the most part she is a great listener and does what needs to be done. She is funny and always coming up with silly stories. Which now we are focusing on the difference between stories and lies in FHE.
She wanted to go ice skating for her birthday and so I told her she could invite a couple of her best friends that she always plays with: Maili Wilkins and Elena/Callie Wakefield. She has been branching out with a couple of new friends and TJ and I are really hoping that one of them could become a really good friend. So since she has been playing with Ella Welsh and Avery Peterson at school a lot TJ said we needed to invite them as well. Easy for TJ to say since he had to be out of town for work on her birthday which left just me to handle all of these kids. SO I got a sitter for Kasen and took: Elena, Callie, Ella, Avery, Chloe, Lexi, Tallie, Maili, and Jade ice skating. Tessa was awesome to come and be my extra chaperone and help me lace up like 9 pairs of skates. All of the kids did great and I was so impressed. Chloe was amazing and off doing her own thing with Elena. She never fell and was just gliding around like a natural. Lexi was also whizzing around with her little walker. Jade of course was fearless and going extremely fast which meant some hard falls. We came home for presents and Jell-o cake.
That night Tallie had another birthday party to go to which some of her friends would be at. She decided not to go because she didn't want to spend her birthday celebrating someone else's. She choose to go to McDonalds for dinner and then we came home and watched "Teen Beach Movie".
I love my Tallie and I am beyond excited for her to be baptized.
8 year old birthday questions:
favorite Movie: Teen Beach Movie
favorite book: Magic Tree House
favorite food: pizza
friends: Maili Wilkins, Ella Welsch and Elena Wakefield
favorite thing to do: color and play house/school
what makes her happy: going to school
what makes her sad: not being able to play with friends
She wanted a Hello Kitty cake so instead of making a cake that looked like Hello Kitty I just put Hello Kitty stuff on top. Don't you just love the massive cup? They are always wanting to buy those cups at Walmart and so when I found this huge one I had to get it.
