The Garretts, Richardsons, Shaws, Fredricksons, and us met at Bear Lake and stayed in the KOA cabins. It was so fun to be with the family. We joked that it was the West Coast family reunion but we keep it on the down low so not to offend the East Coast family.
On the drive up we almost hit a deer. I lost my beating heart and TJ has permanate white knuckles. It was pretty scary. The first day there we went to the Lake and had some fun in the sun and did some tubing with the boat that Heidi and Chris so selflessly rented for us all. The second day we hung around the camp ground and played some mini golf (the big boys played the US open and spent a good amount of time there), we swam in the pool (Lexi pooped in the pool, yay for me), we rented a bike thingy, played some card games and ate a lot of food. I would love to say that my allergies were not AWFUL and that I did not feel miserable most of the time but that would make me a liar.
However, it was still fun.
At night we stayed up late telling scary stories making it really hard to sleep at night. We also played this game called iPod idol. It is HILARIOUS! One person picks a song and put headphones in. They turn up the music as loud as it goes and shuts their eyes. They have to sing the song, just belt it out while we all watch. It is so embarrassing but extremely funny. Enough to pee your pants. It's funny because the audience can't hear the music, all we hear is the person singing at the top of their lungs a song that most likely they don't know all the words to. I was dying. Best part was when Chelsea did her song a KOA employee came over to ask us about our fire (no fires allowed due to all the wild fires but we had propane) and so as she is belting her song out we all turn to talk to this guy and Chelsea has no idea anyone is there an keeps going...I have never laughed so hard as this guy is so confused as to what Chelsea is doing. During Max's song he lost his balance rapping and tripped over all of the camp chairs and fell, but got right back up and kept going. All with his eyes closed. All of our camping neighbors I'm sure thought we were awesome and probably drunk as could be...but nope just good clean fun with the Lees! I sure love TJ's family.
