This past week TJ took a week off from work and we had a stay-cation at home.
It would have been nice to get away but we also had a lot to get done around the house. Not like we minded because we are both suckers for tinkering around in the yard.
But there is always enough time for play...
I spent almost 4 hours staining the swingset. I really hate doing it. I let the girls help this time and they thought it was so cool to be painting (wish I had some pictures). Standing on a tall tall ladder is just not so much fun, but I love the way it looks when we are done...BRAND NEW!
While I was doing that, TJ had the job of putting up the wire for my outdoor curtains. He is such a smart guy and I'm glad I have him around for jobs like that. Did I mention that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new outdoor space?! It has been in my head for 5 years and slowly ever so slowly step by step we have been putting it together. First concrete (that I saved up for like 3 times before I actually got to spend the money on the concrete and not something else). Then furniture, lights and curtains. This year was the finishing touches. Now I just need some flowers and pots!!
Lexi has been so adorable lately. She babbles all the time and is fitting into her own size clothes...kind of. She says the words: ouch, ball, bonk, mom, dad, sit, shoe, sock.
She loves to follow the older girls around and play barbies.
She loves to snuggle and be wrapped in her blankie. She is getting good at throwing tantrums and she is constantly making me smile.
For Family Home Evening the other night we set up the tent and watched a movie in the family room. It was the end of a really great productive day.
