Hawaii

We pulled together all of TJs flight points, his hotel points, my hair money for the year and TJs parents christmas money and took the whole family to Kauai! I was nervous about the time change, the long flight and just how well the little kids would do. Well they all did GREAT and adjusted well to both and Kasen (4 years) just rolled with it all and was such a happy camper most of the time. This trip was so AMAZING! Like we all still think about it everyday and dream about going back all the time. I learned a lot about my kids and we all grew closer together. We all tried new things and had so much fun. My kids learned first hand that prayers are answered and that God does hear us when we pray. He got us out of a really dire situation down a deserted muddy hill that we could not get back up in the car in the rain. We prayed together, cried together and worked together and I'm sure none of us will ever forget that moment in the rain. Since that trip we have decided that thats all we care about. Is going places, seeing new things and being together. The kids have said they are ok to forgo Christmas gifts from mom and dad to put all that money towards another trip. We are currently trying to figure out the next trip. I am so excited for this new tradition and to replace getting more "stuff" for Christmas, we get more memories together.
