Fun with dad at home..

About mid July Tj came home in the middle of the day and told me he no longer worked at Silhouette.
It was a pretty big blow.
I couldn't believe that they let TJ go just like that. He had been at the company the longest. Managed the most important accounts. He is so loyal and hardworking and as he watched the company grow and grow like crazy each year we watched our paycheck the culture of the work place go lower and lower. Perfect example of a greedy money hungry boss who doesn't want to pay anyone for anything. TJ hadn't been happy working there for a long time and maybe him getting let go was the only way for him to actually leave and pursue other things. I'm happy he is not working there anymore. Its been a little over a month and we are still looking for the right job and we don't really know what our future holds. Thats the part I struggle with the most. The not knowing. We have both had our ups and downs on this roller coaster. Depression, anxiety, anger, calm, happy...Right now I'm kinda in panic mode. Panic that things might really change. Like life changes. We hope in the next week or so a decision can be made but I fear that it could just be temporary with a bigger decision in store. I am so grateful for savings and food storage. We have felt at ease and much peace knowing we have a solid 4 months of "living" in savings. It does really suck tho to watch that slowly disapear. I am so glad that when things were good I spent extra each month and stocked up on food and things. That is really helping us to not spend so much per month. Honestly I feel like everyone should loose their job at least once in their lifetime. Not because its fun or that I want someone to join in on the misery but because it really puts things into perspective and really separates the needs from the wants. We have had such an awesome summer having dad around. And no we couldn't take vacations or do things that required money but yet we were able to do SO much without any money and made the best memories! We went to the new Springville res a few times, we had camp fires up the canyons (and burned all of Tjs Silhouette things), we borrowed Bob and Mona's kayaks and played at the Highland pond. Our new thing was going to Utah lake. That was the most fun. The water is super shallow for miles out, its sandy and warm like bath water and never crowded. We went to Seven Peaks and did some hiking and playing in waterfalls at Provo Falls which was SO beautiful I couldn't believe we had never been there before or even heard of it! TJ and I and the two littles hiked the Y and we had a free night with the Orthodontist at the Payson pool swimming and eating pizza.
