For some reason Tj thought this hike wasn't longer than 30 min and he thought the best time to hike it would be in the evening. We got to the trail head at about 6:30pm.
The hike up went pretty good but it took us over an hour.
Once we got to the falls we were freezing! We are such good parents because the kids were in shorts and tanks and we brought no jackets.
Poor Kasen was a popsicle. We didn't stay too long and on the way down Lexi refused to walk and so I carried her for over an hour. My calves and arms were jello by the time we got to the car. Plus it got dark on us. We are determined to have our kids love hiking and the outdoors. I'm not sure this hike made me believe that Tallie does. I swear she sounded like she was dying the whole way down and every time I turned around she was sitting on some rock.
She's got to get over that.
They keep asking when we can all go to Hawaii.
I told them they have to learn to love hiking first because that is what we do when we go.
They haven't brought up Hawaii in awhile:)
